Hi RR guys....yes I wiped me feet before i came in here

just had a PM off a newbie called swarve... this is his problem.. pardon me for sherkin me responsibilities.

2001 p38 vogue stays in neutral no matter which gear i select, in hi and low ration. all gear selector indicators are working fine, reverse lights and mirrors tilt when i select reverse.

there are no warning lights.
it just came out of drive when i was driving slowly in my street.

battery is fine
relays are fine

your thoughts and excellent advice please

If it's moving the indicator lights next to the gear lever, then the cable to the gearbox must be moving as the switch that drives the lights is on the side of the box where the actuator shaft goes into the gearbox. Either the cable is not turning the actuator shaft, or more likely ther is a problem with the box. First step, check the oil level and colour of the ATF.
