Suspicious car watch?

Rik i have just registered as am looking at buying cheap landies/disco's for resale some you can spot as sus but be good to have a bit more info at my fingertips are you allowing pics of stolen landies aswell showing stuff people could use to identify because if you are beware then the info might be used by the enemy aswell!Better to keep some stuff back to make the final ident just my opinion!

At the moment Pics are allowed but that could change depending on opinion. Obviously there are 2 sides to the coin, the pictures could include some easily identifiable items, that people could look out for, but equally could be used by the enemy to strip such parts out to make the vehicle easier to hide.

I could obviously set the entire forum to registered users only, but then that may defeat our efforts in allowing people who are not registered to spot the stolen vehicles.

I have created another topic for landywatch on here if anyone has any suggestions.

just joined up. looking good Rik. It will help, because the members will make it work.

Its only been going for a day, and already I have had some great offers of assistance and it seems to have been well received.

I think if we can pull off the mapping system where details of thefts and recoveries can be plotted on a map to try and get more information visually it will be a big help.

Also we have an idea of storing chassis numbers, engine numbers, basically any information you have on your vehicle on the site, to assist in the recovery and recognising stolen vehicles.

Its a community effort, so the more people who are willing to help and give advice the better.

If there are any features you would like to see on the site, please let me know!

Database to be available in a few days... could do with a style guru though... I can make it work but I aint brilliant on making it look pretty!
