Has anyone lifted there freelander? And if so what is the best way of doing it?
In the blurb it says that it lifts Freelander to the same height as a standard Defender.
I dint write it and I aint lifted mine so dunnoStandard fender with flat tyres and worn springs ? ?
Not in a straight lineA fork lift is much quicker.
Lol well comming from a real serious 4x4 to a freelnader is a change but I am very happy with it
However my Freelander can do things many 4X4s can't do.
.
what like doors falling off , failing ird units , and crap vcu,s for a start . :d:d:d:d
i keep gettting stuck on the dewin answer it is so difficult to concentrater BUT if you lift a freelander remember that the diff and other stuff remain the same hight as before I can not see the point really if it will not go over something because of the diff then it still won't
I don't understand what you mean here.
If you think a Freelander is not a serious 4X4 you are making a very big mistake, and are underestimating the vehicles potential.
I have never felt the need to fit a lift kit as my on-road capability would probably be compromised too much for me.
However my Freelander can do things many 4X4s can't do.
I've driven most makes of 4X4 off-road in ex-war zones and the ground clearance is the only thing that would stop me following any 4X4 through deep ruts or mud.
That said I always get to where I need to by not following blindly but by taking a different approach and not putting wheels in someone else's tracks.
The only 4X4 that beats me completely is a Unimog.
thats got to be the biggest load of bollix ive ever readI don't understand what you mean here.
