Please dont hate I'm sure this will have been asked many times but here goes , I have just purchased a RR vogue 05 and after a few minutes driving the "suspension fault" appears on the dash ,now it gasses up fine to full height and drops but when stood the front drops (both sides) while the back stays at normal height ,would this be a sensor failure on the both front corners ?

Airbags might be an issue they are peculiar bastards these L322's the struts rotate their air-spring top seals when the steering is turned, which inevitably eventually leaks.

climb under with some soapy water and have a spray, look for bubbles.

the symptoms also suggest that air is leaking from the cross-link valve and escaping to atmosphere.

But without diagnostics you're flying blind.

What codes is the thing chucking?

Edit .

Just remembered.
Disconnect the battery for few hours If the front still drops when the battery is disconnected, then I would be looking at the reservoir valve block and/or the lines themselves. After that, I would examine the compressor.

Also air might be leaking from the cross-link valve and escaping to atmosphere.

A valve body rebuild kit would also benefit..

Fair question considering the thread title ;) :D

....I think - could be wrong - but I think they removed the cross link valves in 2004.....needs to be checked in anycase!

I would say front air bladders are on their way out....also, popping it on diagnostics wouldn't go amiss to see what the EAS ECU is complaining about....

*segway*

Talking of diagnostics - I am about to upload a video on the new iCarSoft LR V2.0 on both the P38 and the L322 (2002-2005)....

I'm sorry I'm not up on the model numbers
Without meaning to be rude, if it's your vehicle, and you are looking for help, you should familiarise yourself with what you own. Asking for help with a Range Rover Vogue, is akin to going to going on a Ford forum and asking for help with a Ford ST. Rather than a Sierra or a Mondeo.*
It helps those, who you are asking for help, if they know the model. It also helps to know which vehicle you own , when you are searching for parts.

* Thinking about it , a better example is , asking for help with a Volvo estate GLT. Mainly because the GLT trim went across several estate models, but would not help anyone to know which model you are asking about. Just like Vogue.
