No I wasn't sure whether to clean it or not as there seem to be a lot of warnings about damaging it if you touch it

Yes I've got the bits stored safely in the garage.

I struggled a bit at first with the butterfly and then used a tool I bought to remove the fasteners on the wheel arch panels. It came out fairly easily with that.

It does seem to run better but not sure whether it's psychological or not lol

Are your struts all finished now?
I noticed a tip for keeping bolts in a socket the other day. It's to put a magnet in the socket. I bought some 8mm disc ones from ebay and fitted one into the socket. I used it when when I was putting the lower blanks in. Worked a treat.

I've been looking for MAP cleaner on the Internet. Some people say to use electrical contact cleaner. Do you know if this is ok?
Thanks

great and how did i know it would be dirty , lol

u should notice the difference because as soon at it hits 2,000 revs it should go like a scolded cat
My slow driving is a family joke, they would reply that I never reach 2000 revs lol. Must admit though it did perform much better when I took it out earlier.
I forgot to mention that your tip to remove the box for the brake pipes was a gem. It came off easily and made the job much easier.

lol, must admit on the motorway i normally just stay in lane 1 and let the world go by , but u will indeed notice it when overtaking

thought u would indeed find that a lot easier with those boxes out of the way , gives a lot more room

now there blanked it shouldn’t choke up again
