What would be best to get servise rust of between suspension blades or lube them so that they can clean themslve. I thought of using either q20 0r chain lube but am a bit scared for to much dust abration

Look where the post has come from. A little linguistic tolerance may be required here.
 
It's nice to know South Africa has a West Country! I think it's possible to dismantle the springs by drilling out the rivets and tapping the clamps off. Then you can wire brush the leaves (blades) lubricate and reassemble by cramping up the leaves and replacing the clamps. I just bought new springs, but they're not too expensive here - not sure what parts availability would be in SA.
 
I washed them down with pool acid pressure washed the acid off then sprayed them with lots of q20. feels like the ride height has improved and definitely better wheel articulation. i wonder if graphite powder could be good leaf lubricant will try it
