hello
someone had supercharged one rover v8 engine?
i´m thinking to install one M112 eaton supercharger from a Jaguar with low pressure (maybe 0.5BAR) to not destroy the engine. it´s simple? what i need to put the supercharger in the v8 engine?
regards

Manifolds, brackets, pulleys and drive belts, new carburettor(s) and big power-bulge in the bonnet.

Say !!

Why not just do the power-bulge on the bonnet and forget the super-charger?

Backing off the timing and ensuring a decent amount of fuel will help.otherwise massive detonation will make a big mess very quickly....

Thank you for your replies.
My idea is put the supercharger, jaguar xk8 nozzles and remaped ECU. my idea is 250HP +-. i´m rebuiding my another 3.9i v8 engine, and i´m serious thinking put the supercharger, but i have some afraid because the engine healthy. This is a range rover for offroad only! Highway i do not exceed 75miles per hour,

i like the sound of this if it goes well and works let me know i will do the same i like the idea of a supercharger. I want nos aswell i want the fastest defender on the road.

In which case you will need to fit AT LEAST a 23 litre V-12 Rolls Royce Merlin engine. It has been done.
See the pic and yes, we all know it's a Series ...

Thanks for the info, so my RRS (when I get it) will have a BIG boost then. Oooooooooo that means fast :D

Most amusing.

I meant, as I'm sure you know, that its perfectly safe to charge a standard compression engine if your sensible about it.

I've done it myself, granted not on a RR engine, but if you keep the boost low, and the fuelling correct you can get a healthy increase with no ill effects to the engine.
