Hello all!

Pulling the trigger on a 2012 Range Rover Sport Autobiography, 5.0 L V8 SC…!

She’s got 45k miles, meticulous maintenance by LR dealers in prior hands, and no apparent issues now. She’s had the fuel pump and water pump replaced around 30k miles (recalls I think).

A trusted mechanic did a pre-purchase inspection and found noise from the supercharger isolater but otherwise no issues. Timing chains sound smooth.

I was hoping to ask the group a few questions:

1a) Besides changing oils, oil filter, and air filter, is there anything I should do now? (I know I should do the timing chain service before 80k miles).

1b) What specific brands of fluids and filters does the group like for this motor?

2) Near-term/easy project will be Apple CarPlay… what are your favorite options for this that retain the stock appearance and functionality?

3) A lofty idea has been to piece together the parts to retrofit/install ACC (this one didn’t have it). Seems like with the control panel and sensors/computer modules this should be doable (and reprogramming the computer). Has anyone done this with success on the 5.0 V8?

Will post pics when it is in hand!
