sunroofs

hi guys
I have a leaking sunroof, having done some research on this, it seems straight forward enough, the front sunroof will not open I put new fuses in so its the motor or the ecu for the sunroofs so can I just undo the front part of the headlining to get at the motor and do they clean up or do I have to replace it.
