Sunroof not working

Hi there, anybody have any clues as to what would be the cause of sunroof not working? the button on centre console doesnt operate it, when depressed either way, it says "sunroof not set" & occasionally you hear the motor whirring.. upon leaving the vehicle, it always says "sunroof open" & sometimes you get the "chirp" from locking the vehicle, im thinking a new motor? Also any hints on where I may find the pollen filters on me 97 plate P38 please & are they easily replaced?
