Sunroof Exit Drain Pipes

Evening Folks ,

2003 D2

I had the passenger side Sunroof drain seal removed as thought it was split luckily it was ok and now I am having diffficulty feeding it back through , does anyone have a diagram or even a step by step guide on how to do this and where does the pipe end up and is it visible from underneath ?

Hi, the drain tubes from the sunroof tray go down the A pillar & end roughly level with the bottom of the windscreen so you can't see them from underneath. I know they're a tight fit so maybe some silicone grease or some smaller O.D pipe lots of people use the silicone pipe that's available on flea bay.

Andy , the pipe when out and lined up against the A pillar goes all the way to the floor of the D2 so can’t see it cutting of at the windscreen area

I must admit I was only going on what I'd read somewhere. You could use some of that stiff plastic rod that electricians use to feed wires through trunking(or something similar) or try some smaller O. D. pipe. I've still got my roof lining out & I was going to pull those pipes out to check them but they were so tight a fit down the A pillar I just disconnected them from the tray & blew down them (my leak was from the sunroof to body seal so the whole s/roof had to come out to reseal it).

I managed to get the pipe down the A pillar and it’s hit the bottom but I’ve read somewhere that the pipe is not visible from underneath either which is a pain in the backside

If the pipe fails when it rains I’ve decide to run the pipe up the back and have it coming out the B pillar at the rear so much simpler

If you have water getting into the drains then it’s because the grass seal is faulty.
