In the process of replacing the crap headliners that came with the 200tdi's.
With some effort got the sun visor bolts out, but when I got the old headliner out, I have found that two of the connection nuts that are part of the roof assembly just spin when I try and screw the headliner bolts in.

Before I get creative, are these odd nuts available to buy.

Has anyone had a similar experience with this problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

For anyone who's Interested.

After a bit of research, the bolt that connects the sunvisor to the body is called a Rev-Nut. its a bit like a Rivit which squashes into the fixing and leaves a threaded nut. Any land rover dealer sell the Rev-Nuts in packs of 10, however you need a special tool to fix it.

my local Landrover dealer couldn't tell me the size of the Rev-Nut I need, so I've ordered the tool from ebay with an assortment of sizes.

If anyone's Interested I post the size once I've replaced the bolt.

Cheers :)

so what's the difference between a rev and a riv nut ?

no such thing as a rev nut - Rivnut is a trademark (by Avdel) I believe, and is an abreviation for "rivet-nut", as it is a nut which is attached to a thin skin panel from one side, in a similar way to a pop-rivet.

Well if its not a typo, then I will be taking delivery of a hand Riveter Setter, Including Aluminium/Steel and Stinless Steel M3, M4 M5 and M6 Revnuts which we've established don't exist.
