Evening All,
I have a SD1 V8 in my '72 RRC and whilst removing and cleaning one of the carburetors I took off the throttle return spring, which I'm struggling to put back.
Looking at several pictures on Google I have an incling that the spring previously was affixed in a 'bodge-it-and-see' way as the bracket it was installed with (pic attached) doesn't look to be standard nor does the springs original position (which I can vaguely recall before I removed the carb). I now have the typical over-revving on idle as the pedal's weight is now having an effect (punishment for not remembering where I took the spring off from maybe?).
Anyone able to help?
Thanks.
