I'm thinking of putting a small subwoofer into my Defender (2000 reg 90 County with bulkhead still in place) and was considering trying to fit it under the cubby box so that it's nice and out of the way. Anyone tried this before? Anyone got an opinion on what the sound will be like or got any suggestions of a decent sub to use for something like this? I've been looking at those under seat ones you can get for normal cars and i think some of them might work.

If you want a better sounding system either look into sealed speaker pods and decent 5/6 inch speakers or a small bass tube put behind the bulkhead. A seperate sub/amp setup will cause massive vibrations in an old defender, it would be like a babys rattle going down the road.

I had one in me 90 behind the bulkhead single speaker two speakers fitted in the dash you need speaker extensions for those and two in the rear above the door in the corners alpine stereo awesome sound but boy do the windows rattle wink.
