So new stub axle on back of my Defender 90, albeit a disco rear axle.
the Stub axle is a fag paper thicker than the inner diameter of the bearing!!!
Why!!!
Is it just that it is the wrong part, is it cause its Allmakes and not genuine, is it that I'm expected to grind it down? All parts sourced same time from Brooklyn 4X4 and no problems on anything else so far.

Any ideas, suggestions gratefully received.

take both back and show them whats wrong. try another bearing and another stubby and see whats what. Anything more than a light rub down with emery paper I would not be happy with.

Suggest you have an "edge" or a alight burr only needs to be a fraction of a mm not to get the hub back on. V light rub down but get a straight edge and find the high spot. failing that I have an old 200 disco stub axle yours for £15.

cheers for all the advise, I've tried the rub down and tapping it on, Checked back with the parts guy who has offered to look at it so gonna take it down there, otherwise mate has offered to chuck it in the lathe and mill a little off.
