Structural difference

Is there a structural difference between a series bonnet and a defender? ( 1988 model 90 )

I ask because i want to mount my spare wheel on the bonnet as i need the rear door to house jerry cans rather than the spare wheel.

The bracket which mounts the spare wheel looks simple enough to remove and re position on the bonnet but i don't want any added pressure on this area if the bonnet isn't suited.

My bonnet does have what looks like, an 'X' shape on the inside covering the middle area which looks to be an additional strengthening section.

Seriously though it can be fitted with a slight modification to the underside of the bonnet
