surprised me too, the shot blaster did say get them pained soon as, on inspection the surface looked very good and rust free following treatment, they were primed the same day I got them back , the recent time using cup brush lots of the red primer looked good and difficult to remove so galv sprayed over
maybe a chemical paint remover might have been better to get it ready for rust treatment prior to reemoval. Confusingly some of these rustvconverters work better if you leave the rust on as long as nothing loose is there.
