Hi, having used one of the guides on here for removing the dash (thanks!) my dying wiper motor has now sprung back to life. Heres the background:
2 weeks ago my wipers seemed VERY slow when I used them for 1 pass to clear a few drops of rain, I never thought anything more of it. A week later and with no rain I hadn't any reason to use them and when I suddenly had to they made 1 pass, very laboured, and the motor came to a stop about 20% from the end of it's cycle, it didn't 'park' there, it 'died' there.
So I got home and tried again, very laboured and didn't make the full pass. The next attempt it barely moved. I could still hear the relay clicking and telling the motor but it had no 'juice'.
Is it the case that it if was the parking switch then the wipers would still work 'ok', but just park in the wrong place?
So anyways, I ordered a new motor last week and it will arrive in the next day or so. Is it best for me to just replace the original motor and park switch (which the new motor comes with) or could there be something else that caused this problem? Thanks.
