Wen driving really slowly today with window open on grass I could hear this rubbery squeaking noise coming from front wheel, wheels were straight ahead any ideas !! .... Pressures were good, it was a rotational sound but just like twisting rubber and got faster as I got faster, touching brakes did nt affect it

Cheers tel

may well be a sign your front prop is about to drop a UJ. That or a wheel bearing but will go with the UJ, Just had to do mine...one next to the gearbox.

Are all the tyres the same outer diameter /tyre size, if you have a worn tyre or different diameters it could be the tyre slipping on the grass???

Better known as drive train/transmission wind up.

will check the tyre sizes tomorrow but pretty sure they are all the same size, going to drop front prop off and see if noise goes

Would've thought the viscous coupling in transfer box would've taken care of wind up !, I know that's not seized I checked it last weekend .......

On grass, the tyre adhesion will be less than the torque required to operate the VCU, thus the tyres may squeak a little as they slip due to rotational differences.:)
