It feels like I haven't been on for ages and that's probably because it's true. While I've been gone I've still been working on the fender all the time.

Anyway, yesterday I was given a full new exhaust for a td5 disco (I think).last night at 6 I got bored and had a thought so I went out and took the full exhaust off the fender and threw it in the garage. By 11 I'd got a 3 inch bore side exit exhaust with no silencers what so ever. My car now sounds like satan's own trumpet and I love it (although I now can't hear the radio).

The reason I'm saying this is because it seems to pull better from low down. I can accelerate from 20mph in 4th even with my big wheels on.

Now the question is; am I just imagining it? Has any one else had the same result?

EDIT... added pictures for effect

The straight piece is 2.5 inch. The two welds side by side before the flexi is where it becomes 3 inch. It is made from 2 sections of a disco 2 exhaust.

Does it not vibrate against the body? I found I had to cut the hole a bit wider when I did to my 200tdi, but sounds nice thou:D

Not if it is tight like in the pic because it has no where to go. Then the problem is that the tip expands so I didn't want to bent my panels which is why I have now filed the hole wider. I've got a very annoying sqeek now though which seems to be the exhaust rubbing the chassis or gearbox mints or something. That will have to be fixed tomorrow because it's driving me mad.
