Stopped at Chester Services M56

To offer some hope the Police are doing something in Cheshire.

I was stopped last night by Cheshire Traffic Police in my 110 G4 and asked for proof of identity as a red 110 had just been reported stolen in the area. I was quite happy to prove who I was. He told me to use the disc lock on the steering whenever I left the vehicle, even when paying for petrol!

is it not the best time to pinch one when the fuel tank is full

I was stopped twice in my old 90 up here (Newcastle) after it had been stolen the first time - as you said, more than happy to be pulled over!

Like you say good to hear! Although I've driven nothing but Landys and Discos for a few years now and I've never been stopped even at the silliest of times..
