Hello chaps

I`m not very familiar with forums and this is the first time I`ve ever posted on one, so bear with me. Woke up Saturday morning to find my Defender had been stolen during the night, and as I had owned it from new, and had modified it alot, I am now completely gutted.

This Defender is a 2005 County Hardtop (90) fitted with 5 black 17" Predator alloys with BF Goodridge AT`s (almost new), and it has also been fitted with a JE Developments 4.6 V8 making around 300bhp and 345 ft/1b of torque. The exhaust is a very special complete one off terminating just in front of both rear wheels and is very noisy when driving hard.

I dont recall anyone else carrying out this modification to a TD5 so the car should stand out like a sore thumb if it is offered for sale.

I would be eternally greatful if anyone on this forum would pass on any information if they see, or hear of any cars/parts offered to them which may have been taken off my Defender. You can send e-mail to me on [email protected]

Hi fellas

Thanks for the kind words chaps, heres a picture of it before I put my own stamp on it, and apart from the wheels and 3" side exit exhaust, it looked pretty standard.

The wheels were black 17" predators with BF Goodridge AT's and were as new, there was a fifth Predator wheel on the back door with no cover.

Above the tax disc in the windscreen there was a BARC sticker (British Automobile Racing Club), as I race a classic formula ford 2000, this would be quite a rare sticker on a Landy!

i live in south normanton derbyshire (junction 28 on the M1) i know of four attempted thefts of 3 land rover discoveries, one range rover and one defender 90 and the theft of a defender 90 from my village alone. one of the attempt thefts on a defender not to far from me, they had tried to nick it but failed then went back but the owner had removed the steering wheel so they went back a third time with their own steering wheel and tried again but again they failed.
you might not want to hear this but your defender is most likley in a million bits by now or has been changed so much and given a new id. best thing to do is get a tracker fitted or make sure the security is as good as can be. having said that the defender i now own was stolen when the previous owner had it, they bent the nearside door top down and was in the process of towing it away when they was disturbed. guess the tracker is the best bet so as not to loose your baby...vivnap...

I think if they want it, they will get it. I hope your wrong about my 90 but sadly that is probably what will happen. The cops said that it will probably get cloned, but this 90 is just too heavily modified and maybe too hot to handle and will almost cirtainly be broken for spares, this is why I have registered on your forum and hope that these scumbags might offer you guys some of my parts. You will know if you have bought my engine because you will need to buy plenty of driveshafts to keep it on the road!!!
 
scum, I hope the nicking c**ts get aids and die, yes its harsh but taking somthing that sombody else has worked hard for just really winds me up.
I hope you hear somthing soon mate.
 
ouch, the AIDS thing is a bit harsh ! knowing what AIDS does to you i wouldnt wish that on anyone. ahhahaha having said that i suppose dragging them round a salt quarry for a few hours would be fun ?

This is a disgusting offensive statement and should be removed. Let us hope the poor person you wish it upon does not give it to somebody else. The punishment in no way fits the crime. :mad:

it didnt offed me and ive had AIDS ! it was a bit of a harsh comment but i can understand it when some sun bitch nicks ya pride 'n' joy but i reckon dragging them about for a while is gonna hurt em a lot more. you can always hang em when they been peeled :)
