Y-reg Defender 90, TD5, metallic green, snorkel, new BF goodrich ats on black rims, snorkel, Monster sticker back window(left small) -
usual - edited for security reasons, smashed steering lock and hot wired - in seconds, seemingly
It left my drive before my very eyes at high speed.

4x hoodies- two in my LR, two ran off to own car hidden nearby.

Very fast, professional - and dangerous - narrowly missed a group of incredulous passers-by, who jumped clear.

Probably left to the North or West of sheffield

It looks as though there are some scoundrels operating in the Sheffield region, and a vehicle down a narrow drive, under a security light, is clearly not safe.
In fact, as others have said, parking a car across the drive might well have proved little impediment!

Spread the word in the area - step up your security arrangements!
I'll point the PC who attended to this thread, as the police may not yet have the stats to show Sheffield and district is being operated in by 4X4 baddies

Of course, this will mean that the police may carry out more stop-checks on LRs, so wise to make sure your car is well in order!
regards all

bad times, hope you get it back! more and more are going! theres not going to be any left at this rate! what additional security did you have?:(

Oh - posted on the security pages: I had no extra security other than the new immobiliser. Oddly, given that i could never start it without both key fobs - for the new immobiliser and the old one for the ignition barrel to recognise proximity - and yet, they didn't need any of that - rig up extra power supply to pump?
anyway, the only other security was the 1KW light over the drive, and the fact that the drive is narrow, with an awkward slight dogleg. No problem for an adrenalised villain

Its happening more and more round here! Some one had a go at mine and my brothers discos the other day, couldn't get them out so tried to nick my winch... then another guy the day after had his 90 taken from Fininngley!

Sorry to hear about your landy:mad:

By all means get the police to check out this and the landywatch forums.

What additional security did you have fitted at the time it was stolen? Can you please fill in the poll at the top of this section of the forum so that others can see what security does and doesn't seem to work.

cheers for posting the above.

unfortunately both immobilisers use the same system to prevent the starting which basically means that only a minor alteration/bypass is needed to get yer landy going.

Mechanical devices are more effective than electrical on landys.

Just read this post, seems exactly the same way as mine went.
Reversed of my drive at night, immobiliser and security lights and in N Sheffield.
Oh please, let me get at these scroats.

exactly the same as mine too. sounds all too familiar and too much of a coincidence that its not the same people involved. would like a few minutes alone with them too.
