I have replaced the head gaskets for the second time using new gaskets and bolts each time. The first time I did it I was convinced I had not torqued the heads down correctly as it was blowing out more smoke than an Icelandic volcano.
So this time I used some Tipex (other brands are available) to mark the bolts. The liners have not dropped. So Im sure they are correct now. However it is still a hazard to aircraft.
So do I do it a third time or has anyone ever heard of the inlet manifold cracking or becoming wrapped in some way.
