Hi boys and ladies to, the back breaks on my flander are stuck fast in the mornings, any ideas? If i take the drums of to inspect the workings do i have to remove the hub nut or are they held on a different way? Thanks in advance for your help!:ballchain:

Hi,
Mine have been doing it as well recently, yes it has been covered on here before. I have cleaned one side (started raining so had to stop) and that has solved that side from sticking. This is how i cleaned mine;
chock wheels take off handbrake and lift car appropriatly, Remove wheel, then there is two screws that hold the drum on, remove these. then remove springs remembering where they all go and release the self adjust mechanism. remove brake shoes and clean all parts, apply copper slip greese to back plate where shoes touch there are about 6 points to do, then reassembled and adjusted (there is a guide on here about it).

Job done, quite easy as you said, thanks! No noticeable defects apart from dust, so put some de greaser on the drums and shoes and gave them a gentle rub with some wire wool, wiped clean with a cloth and re assembled. Lets hope this works! Thanks for the help!:drum:
