Hi, I want to connect a stereo to my 2002 Defender 110.
I have the following wires:
Black
Red / Orange
Purple / Brown
White / Orange
Can anyone tell me what colour these have to be connected to on an ISO plug.

Did you cut the old wires from the factory stereo ?

You new one should have instructions for that situation,

Otherwise all you need is an adapter or if your really lucky, it would of just slotted in,

Hope this helps?

Grab a multimeter to test but I would imagine you have an illumination feed too (when lights are on) so the display can go into night mode (dim) with headlights on.

Unfortunately it could also be a switching feed from a radio for an electric aerial (unusual these days) or an external amp.

Thanks for your help, resorted to using my multi meter and finding the permanent live and ignition live!
Previous owner had bodged the electrics and all fell apart when i pulled the wiring out to find a loose connection.
