ive asked on a few other forums with no great success. I changed my single din navsys head unit ( on my 05 td4 hse) for a single din pioneer unit and i am looking for the steering wheel control adaptor if anyone can help please

It depends if your new radio has the steering wheel interface built-in or not – unfortunately, most do not.

If the radio has the interface built-in, it will usually have two or three short leads marked SWC and GND. All you need to do is run a wire from these leads to the steering wheel’s rotary coupling (pins 5 and 6 on the Freelander).

If the radio has a headphone style socket for the steering controls, the adapter isn't built-in and an active adapter is required. Incartec.co.uk is probably the best source for the Freelander especially the HSE ones fitted with the sat nav system as the wiring is a bit different from the standard models.
