Can anyone recommended me a good website for choosing a car stereo to fit into my rebuild (or a good recommendation if you are an expert). I am struggling to narrow it down as my criteria do not seem to be common criteria and therefore are not easy filters on sites like Halfords etc.

My criteria is fairly basic as far as I am concerned:
  • Single din
  • Bluetooth connectivity for streaming from my phone
  • Bluetooth connectivity for 2x phones for making/reciveing call
  • External wired (not bluetooth) microphone
  • Either green illuminated display or multi coloured so I can choose green.
I do not need radio or DAB, CD, USB, aux and would rather not have them included but most seem to come with them as standard.

I would just purchase the same as I had pre-fire which was a Pioneer MVH-X580BT but these look to be discontinued. The next closest pioneer looks to possible be MVH-S520BT but this looks like it has a blue tooth microphone and I would ideally prefer hardwired.

Please do not just give me recommendations for a portable bluetooth speaker as the handsfree calls for 2x phone is important for work, hence the requirement for an external microphone to compete with the noise of a 200tdi.

I'm confused. You want a car radio that doesn't do radio/DAB/CD etc.. what exactly do you want it to do? Sounds like you don't want a radio.. am i missing something?

Pre-empting the pedantic among us I referred to it as a stereo rather than a radio for that reason

But as mentioned you can’t get one without radio so it will have that included. You can get them without a CD which makes the unit shorter taking up less space in the dash. I have embraced my millennial roots and accepted technology (not enough to change the nice analogue 200tdi defender however). All I need is to stream from my phone. All radio I listen to is through apps and is far better quality signal than the Land Rover arial, and music is through Spotify.

I've never heard of anything single din that doesn't have fm/am :(
Yes I dont think it exists. So will have built in am/fm. But there seems to be a 50/50 for if it has a CD or not these days. So Definitly Don’t want that.

Have you done the obvious and check halfrauds?
Yes I have had a look at a couple of sites. But the filters seem very limited. So you can say you want Bluetooth phone, but cannot specify for two phones and You cannot specify external mic. I am hoping someone knows of a very easy to use good car audio website that I can then use to compare current models for my short list of criteria.

I thought modern Bluetooth devices allowed multiple connections to be stored.
I've not looked at her units for years, but alpine used to do plug in add-on modules for Bluetooth. I guess it's all integrated now but they might do add-ons by way of external audio, i don't know.. worth a look on their website

I need two to be usable at the same time for Phone calls off both personal and work mobile not just to store and be able to connect both separately. This is something I know not all systems offer from when I was looking a few years ago.
