Steering pulling to the left

if your tracking was out there would be uneven wear to the tyres. if it was then adjusted the vehicle might pull due to tyres. the tracking sets the wheel angle and not the tyres this is just my thought?

basically its been tracked but not with the steering central only the steering wheel,its not correct if you have more steering lock on one side than the other.have it tracked at steering wheel position 5 past 1 then it might drive spot on

I think I'll refit the steering wheel using live data to position it.hen get it re tracked and see where that leaves me

I does sound as if the tracking has been done wrong but, just a thought, try changing the front wheels and see if it pulls to the right.

possibly if the front tyres are not matching ie different brands/pattern/make/tread depth etc one could out power the other quite easily

Front tyres are the same brand and seem to have equal wear . I was thinking more along the lines of a buckled wheel being a possibility ?

i've had a pull on mine for months and yes to the left, i did have wear on my last tyres inside edge one side outside edge on the other which i thought could of been caused by the steering to the right, but was told it's just power steering wear. had 4 new tyres fitted, 4 wheel alignment and still get the pull to the left on certain roads (they were struggling to get rear wheels within tolerance) reset the steering angle sensor a couple of days ago as that was showing 12% when in straight line but it's not cured the pull, it did however cure the rear left sag i had on the suspension, i will check lock to lock and see what readings i get on max left/right to see if they are equal.

By resetting the steering angle sensor do you mean refitting the steering wheel at position zero?

no you set the steering wheel to where the car drives straight then do a reset through the obd port, but you need something like hawkeye or similar to do a reset in that way

Surely the point of this forum is indeed to tackle the job yourself with the help of the generous community on here of which 99% are very helpful and don't come out with amoeba like comments.

Good point , BUT, you did take your car to Bush (in original post) who didn't do the job correctly it seems, so SAS's posts is not out of order IMO

I told you what I thought was wrong with the car back on page 2, the first person to suggest the car has been tracked with some lock on. I still suspect this is exactly what's wrong - then three pages later you ask "By resetting the steering angle sensor do you mean refitting the steering wheel at position zero?" A question so staggering naive it shows that nothing is sinking in. Not all people are capable of tackling the job themselves despite all the help in the world. Sorry if this upsets you - perhaps you're not cut out to maintain something as complex as a L322 Range Rover.

I took my car to bush to get it tracked as I don't have the equipment for four wheel drive tracking. Hands up who have?

The original post did say the car was pulling to the left BEFORE Bush touched it - has the car ever driven without the pull in your ownership? When did it start?
