Steering pulling to the left

The position of the steering wheel is not relevant, it's the rack and sensor that needs to be centralised, the wheel position can be sorted after that if necessary.
I wonder if the car has been in a shunt.

Did think that myself but in his OP he said that the car had developed this fault, unless he has belted a kerb or something

No data , the car hasn't ever been shunted. It drove fine up untill recently , but as I'd renewed all the ball joints and suspension bushes I assumed some settlement had thrown the tracking out , hence my trip to bush to get It tracked

if you have changed the bottom arms the bolts should have been just pinched up, then wheel refitted/lowered off jacks so full weight of the vehicle is applied & then finally tightened/torqued up

Yer, I did that Will. But I did read somewhere about a service bulletin mentioning settlement in new bushes and alignment but can't recall what it said.. I've just refitted the steering wheel using live data to get it bang on straight. So I'll take it back to get re tracked and see what transpires

True about the steering wheel Data, but if they are using it as some kind of reference point it needs to be on straight

the wheel should not be used as a reference point IMO, the reference point is the centred rack and sensor.

tbh not many check it I personally would hook a l322/sport etc up on diagnostics to check angle sensor for faults/settings first only to save getting any blame/liable as op has found,afterall the op paid his money & had faith so not his fault imo.personally I would have taken it back & explained the problem & if like me would have been more than welcome to help/reset etc ( free no cost),finally I think the op will be fine when its reset tomorrow with the steering wheel/sensor corrected
