Steering guard?

I'm thinking of mounting an aluminium steering guard for my Defender 110 Td5. Surely many types/marks from several manufacturers are available.

I'd like to get a steering guard that will fit straight on without any remarkable modifications to my car (because of I'm just a greenhorn with these jobs).

Any experiences, recommendations and info about a good steering guard? Please give me too a hint where from to buy that one?

i have one of them fitted to my 90..been on over a year now and hasnt dented or been a problem,so it works

6mm ali will be strong as and won`t rust.

I have this exact steel one on my 90.

If i'm honest the coat/paint pretty much fell off so i had to re do it with h-rite.

also as I have a a guardian winch bumper i had to cut off and re-weld the front mounting positions on the guard as 2 thing can't be in the same place at once (at least not when they're both made of steel).

clearly though it's very tough.
