hi guys,
ive been given a steering guard today, it has been fitted before but is in good nick. anyways just had a butchers as am gonna try and fit it tomoz
so a couple of answers needed plz...

firstly- can i pull out the steering arm drop bolt completely as the guard sits on the outside and not the side with the nut.

secondly- i have a jate ring or recovery point welded to the side of my chassis and it looks like it may be in the way, should i hammer this off/grind it off etc??

and last but not least- there is no nut and bolt for the other side (where the steering arm drop bolt would be if it was lhd) does anyone know what size i will need and roughly where i can get one from

all replies gratefully recieved :):):)

unbolt the jate ring, it'll be in the way.The use the bolt to hold the steering gaurd in place. Thats wot i did.

Just been out now this pic is the jate ring the bolt to the left is the steering arm drop bolt (sorry bout the quality its off my phone) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1314393920.641664.jpg
Then this pic is where i think it will hit the steering guard ImageUploadedByTapatalk1314394143.119093.jpg

thats not a jate ring ,jate rings are square c shape and bolt either side of chassis leg,on front pair of bolts holding guard in place

If you haven't already cut it of leave it buddy, I'v got it on mine on both drivers and passengers side and my steering guard sit just out side of them. If this helps.

Regards
Ash
