Steering box issues

Hello guys,

I was wondering if any of you know if the steering box fixing kit (small one with seals and that) fits both on Defenders and Discos. If not, does anyone know of a place where i can get a Disco kit pls?

Point number two. i have an expedition prepared Defender 110 which is currently in Kenya awaiting my return and more overlanding. The issue is that it's an LHD one and that i'd like to buy a new steering box for it. It's a 99 XA chassis thing. Does anyone have one to sell, preferably new, or can you please point me in the right direction.

mate i wouldnt bother with them seal kits there pooo! look out for a recon/second hand box if i were you,
i treid the seal kit,bought a second hand box in the end (make sure you get one with a drop arm thought there a bastid to remove

£15 for a seal kit or at least triple that for a SH unknown box .... hmmmm

often only need the drop arm output seal, which is such an easy fit

what's the problem with them ?

agreed i did try changing the seal but it didnt last long before it started to drip and in the enf dump the lot so 50 quid for a box with touch wood no leaks yet was a non brainer

well ... thanks guys. i had simex 33s on my truck and basically that's the time when my 110 got the worst hammering. then i gathered the brains to figure out that i need a 90 for off roading and a 110 for expeditions. but now, my 110 has quite a bit of damage in the box and i would really rather change it as soon as possible and i am looking for a new one unfortunately ... anyone got a brand new one for sale?

I did before I moved away from parts onto sliders and the like

P.s. I have never had a problem with a re-sealed box.... what do you think a re-con one is?

i was hoping the coils and insides are recon as well ...
