I got deCarbon's on both 90 and Rangie. If you need to take it off and refit it's a tw@t, and the extra £7 for the Bilstein is worth it as you can remove and refit without damaging non-standard nuts that are fookin expensive to buy replacements for. I have a bag of nuts to fit deCarbon shockers/dampers that you can have for a small fee ;)

Aye a did jus gotta get time tae fit now and try it out, got the nuts soaked wi wd40 and wont get near it till sunday as im in glasgow till friday then a weddin on sat :-( just went for a stock one in the end, You get yer wheel bearings ?

Time tae fit it!!!! It only takes about ten minutes, if that, tae do! just mind on that there's usually two nuts on the bottom (passengers side) of the damper;)

Wish i hud ten minutes to massel, its matts burfday the morra anorl!
Im gonna tell yer doris what ye said bout her piccy taken and you'll be walkin! :D And its been ****in doon most of the day and i did go oot to start it earlier but the rain got heavy so i only got as far as puttin the wd40 on and the tools organised:mad:

a steering damper is not required to be a high performance damper , its usually stationary unlike suspension dampers that are constantly moving thus causing heat from friction thus needing to be tougher.
unless its made from cheese a standard damper will do exactly the same job as an expencive aftermaket jobby , dampen the feedback from the road going into the steering.
unless you drive at 150 miles an hour over a freshly ploughed field , then you might want to consider something stronger.
like ouzo.
