Starter relay fast clcik

Hi Guys

Am a bit stuck as my starter motor relay clicks very fast and does not try and start the car.

Is this a problem with the relay or the starter motor itself?

Sorry should also add i have charged the battery fully, try's to start for less than a second then goes back to the clicking. Could this also be the battery not holding charge? I have no way of testing this.

You know I had exactly the same problem today. This morning the battery was at 10.6v so stuck a charger on it. Went to start it later and the battery's basically dead. Even though voltage at the terminals was 12.5v it just won't pass the current to turn the starter motor. I swapped it out for a shiny new battery and now everything's fine.

It's most likely dead.
