SRS light on

The SRS light has suddenly appeared on the dash. It kind of looks like it is trying to flash (although only one side flashes! and is more apparent that it is flashing from the passenger seat!) anyway, it flashes for about 1min and then stays on all the time. Is there anything common to this issue on the Disco 1 that I can check out?

Yoh Matt-Excuse my ignorance but what the hell's an SRS light????
 
Airbags! SRS - Something (Seat??) Restraining System!

You know, you can't design anything in a vehicle now unless you can shorten it to a TLA!!

Arhhh! In that case I would'nt worry about it,every single car I've had with air bags this light has come on at some moment in time.Usualy a faulty conection under seat,soldering joints usualy does the trick problem is that 9 times out of ten you need agents computer book jobby to turn bloody light off-

Yeah, I think that's the problem - I think it needs turning off by a pro - so how the hell do I know what I do has actually fixed it?!! Bit like the air suspension on a P38, bloody pain. Any idea if the airbag light is a fail for the CT? I'm wanting to get it French reg ASAP.

No it's not a fail for the control technique, I gave in with one of our Audi's,kin light was on for 3 years,I think the air bag lights on in the wifes Beetle too-Not that she will have noticed!!!!!!!
 
Thanks Jason. Opened up the fuse box and messed with the connectors I could see, but hasn't made any difference. Got the air con recharged today, what a difference!!

BTW, did you go and see that French Disco in the end?
