can anyone tell me how i can stop that horrible sqeal coming from the fan belt i think? on my 03flv6 cheers

Take no notice of those horrible men and their insults, the best thing to do is wait for a dry day and then warm the engine up for about fifteen minutes.
That should temporarily stop the squeal for long enough for you to drive to your local dealer and trade the ****er in for a Defender.

It's probablt the auiliary belt. It’s squealing due to the belt slipping. The belt tensioner is automatic. This should apply the right amount of tension on the belt. Take off the plastic side trim between the driver front wheel and the engine. It’s held by 3 bolts at the top, and slots in to the engine guard at the bottom. This will allow you quick access to the auxiliary belt. Check the belt to see if it’s tight enough. Also check it’s not stretched. You’ll see stress marks in it if it is. You can turn the bottom pulley to allow you to see the whole belt, as it move round the cogs. Don’t go near the belt when the engines running!

Have a look at the rave disk link below.
