Hi all,
following my previous thread when I asked if anyone knew where I could buy another working Tailgate AndyFreelandy contacted me to tell me all I need is new Glass fitted. So my question is where can I get the glass and how easy to fit and how much will it cost? If you"re watching Andy can you contact me please
cheers

Many rear windows on ebay. 50 to 100 quid.
Problem is they are all collection only. I would worry about posting glass !

Swap is easy.
4 screws on bottom.edge of inside cover. Pull off cover.
Drop window a bit so that you can access the two 10mm bolts on clamps that hold the glass. Unplug the hrw wires and lift out glass.

Slide new glass in and slide left and right until in centre when door closed.

Tighten 10mm bolts.

Plug in hrw wires. Make sure hrw cable is clamped to the window clamp so that the weight of the wires don't break off the hrw terminals on the screen.

Test and then replace cover.

I am not able to do any Freelander work currently due to my wife being ill.

Happy to advise on line !!

Good luck.

Thanks Andy,
Sorry to hear about your wifes illness, I hope she gets better soon.
I spent 5 hours in Southampton University Audiology Department yesterday with my Wife who will soon require Surgery to rectify her hearing problem then she still has a further Scan at Lymington hospital to find out what is causing the severe pain in her back and right leg. In the meantime I"m still suffering from a Pancreas problem which involves taking Creon Tablets for the rest of my life.
Hope your wife gets better soon and thanks for the info
cheers mate

Thanks Andy. Join the club because my wife has been really ill now for quite some time hence no work other than MOT last month which she(No not my Wife) but the car passed with flying colours. All the best. Give my regards to your wife and hope she gets better soon.
