Spring 2011 Newbies run - S Basingstoke

Please let me know if you have a CB or a winch. Recovery equipment is a must.

No winch. Yes to CB. Got a couple of ropes and shackles, plus front and rear recovery points. Anything else I should be gathering together beforehand?

Yep I can do that. Got recovery kit but need to fit my recovery points still. Cb is up and working. Freshly serviced and running lovely!!

No winch, no CB (although I may pick up a handheld).

On the recovery side I've got a 6 metre strap (3tonne?) and a shackle, a tow bar and the original towing eye at the front.

Better to replace those with Jate rings - the original eyes aren't really intended for towing / recovery use. It's a simple job to change them.

At the Mo its likely to be March sometime, unless I can wangle a Sunday orf.

Roof racks and nice shiny bodywork is not advised.

At least you may not have either by the time we get to the pub .

:behindsofa:It's a Gaylander. As far as I know you can't fit Jate rings.

Best to find out what are the recovery points on the front. Yu shouldn't need them, but best be safe.
