For sale a 2004 Land Rover Defender 90 TD5.
I bought this Landy just under a year ago to undertake a trip to visit the Northern Lights and tour Norway. Over an 8 month period the car went through a lot of work to make it ready for the trip and suitable for extreme cold weather conditions.
The car completed the 6,000 miles expedition without missing a beat but with the trip completed I’m moving onto a new project so it’s up sadly up for sale.
Car comes with 12 Months MOT, Tax until the end of 11/12 and has just been serviced (18/05) at a 4x4 specialists. Mileage is 51,000.
Car has loads of documentation to go with it from both the work to make it ready for the trip and before.

- Split charge system inc. emergency parallel to ensure engine starts.
- 2 x Exide Maxima Batteries, custom battery tray
- Pioneer Stereo Head unit including Bluetooth
- Pre-heater timer
- Mud ‘POD’ for switches
Engine
- Webasto Thermo Top C engine Pre Heater
- Replacement thermostat
Suspension
- Land Rover ‘Heavy Duty’ springs on the rear axle
- Terrafima 30mm wheel spacers
- Koni Heavy Track shock absorbers
Load Space
- Insulated
- Lined with rubber matting
- Tie down hooks
- 2 MSS stowage chests
- 2 x1 6x9 speakers in custom speaker box
- Boarded for carrying equipment
- LED internal light
- Dog guard
External
- Rear work light
- Snow blind
- Snow air intake cover
- Upgraded headlight bulbs and housing
- Wipac spot lamps
- Professionally undersealed
Service
Has been regularly serviced, multiple stamps in book including most recent service 18/05/12.
Late in 2011 the vehicle had a major service during which all of the following where done:
- Engine oil & filters
- Gear box oil
- Transfer box oil
- Diff / axle oil x 2
- Replaced brake fluid
- Replaced coolant
- New fan belt
- K&N air filter cleaned
Any items showing any sign of wear (however minor) where replaced, this included, but wasn’t limited to:
- Track rod end
- 2 sets of bearings
- Steering box drop arm
Will also be supplied with the following:
- Two seats that where previously fitted in the back and could be re-instated
- Set of filters (fuel and oil)
- Strop and shackle for use with the winch
Car comes exactly as it is in all the photos, no items will be removed.
