Spare Wires in engine bay under wiper motor

Just been looking around the engine bay of my td5 disco and found 2 pairs of wire on each side towards the window near the wiper motor, 1 side it's (1 wire black and the other purple/pink) and on the other side it's (1 wire black and the other purple/grey) both have a 2 pin connector on the ends, does any one know what these are for or what can be connected to them.

Heated windscreen at a guess

I concur.
Purple/pink goes to the right hand side and the purple/slate (grey) to the left.
The screen heater is in two halves.
