Hi, I've just been to Billing and noticed some Defenders in the car park with a different type of swing away wheel carrier, they have a large hinged bracket on the rear crossmember and some sort of connection to the rear door, no connection to rear wing. Any ideas where you can get these, never saw them on a stand? Many thanks

Rugged trail and kaymar are the main manufacturers of them. not sure if Safari-Equip now make one. google those makes and make some enquires.

Got mine from Outback Import Sarl (France) in the end Griffdowg, better and quicker service. Easy to fit and worth the money, well engineered.

Hey Paul, how have you been?!

Wasn't my enquiry, I was just answering. Happy with mine, although I am going to have to mod it to make the wheel sit higher. my new nato hitch and trailer will catch the spare otherwise.

I'm alright Gareth, have you moved on? Seems you've got the lot for your Defender.

still got the 90. Its in this months Total Offroad :)

Bought an overland trailer for it, so It needs a few bits sorting to make it compatable. Looking forward to it. need to mount the 2 hannibal awnings to the roll cage to.

plenty to do!

You've been having fun, I'll get the mag and see what condition your 90 in. Here's my collection, The silver one I've taken the hood sticks/ door tops off, and dropped the windscreen. No mistaking me, I'll have my flying goggles on.

Just found another bumper mount wheel carrier, Tomken, from the states. Originally designed for jeeps but it says will fit any steel bumper at least 2"x4". Currently about $285 or £175, couldn't get a quote for delivery on website without placing an order. Looks like it should fit defender bumper ok, with a bit of modding mounts might even fit my RR.
