Some buying advice please

Hi guys,

I need to replace the window section of the rear tailgate on my 89 3.5 vogue efi and just wondered if anyone knows where i can get one cheap brand new?
I am also going to have to buy new headlamps for it aswell as old ones work but are corroded is there and better designed headlamps on the market at a resonable price?

Plus think i am going to have to service my central locking system is this an easy thing to do?

Other than that my rangie is in tip top condition.

Hey Mac, far as I know, there is no such thing as a cheap top tailgate (new). Cheapest options are second hand off fleabay or buy an aluminium frame kit.

I'm not aware of a better design of headlamps, but they are cheap enough so who cares?

Central locking system, seems simple enough - I've not had that to bits but will be needing to make some adjustments on drivers door. As long as the actuators work O.K. I wouldn't have thought there could be many problems.

yeah cheapest i have been able to find the tailgate is £180 brand new, as far as central locking is concerned all the doors are unlocking other than the passenger side but the locking system feels tired so think i will need to get it checked out.

one question though, the Range Rover has had a new water pump fitted in recent weeks by previous owner, he also replaced the belts etc but i was checking my oil and other levels last night and when i looked in the coolant resiviour the water was brown like there is rust in the water, i remember when i had a Hilux the water went like this as water pump was on its last legs, what do you reckon would cause this, i did notice the coolant tank is made of metal so could be rust inside that??

Should i get the collant system flushed?
