So much has happened....

I have no idea how long it has been since my last post but boy is there some news...

So, 18months ago the turbo collapsed on my 300tdi and the engine ran dry until it halted.... i feared the worst and started looking for a replacement engine.... however after some friendly advice and some testing the engine had not seized and all that was needed was a second hand turbo unit from fleabay and coupled with a new battery bingo! started first time! so having driven it around the field a bit and letting it get up to temperature it seems the coolant got unto pressure and all is good, now just needs a few tweaks to get it ready for an MOT.


Meanwhile.... I've gone and bought a 2005 Disco 3 HSE just for laughs... picked it up today and instantly fell in love with it, such a different beast but weirdly... still a disco through and through.... eats up the motorway miles and shall enjoy its first major trip next summer, the long ferry to spain and back through france!
