Is that official?
Ok smarty pants - I got a Scooby Legacy outside - AWD. Does that just mean that u cant select between 2 n 4 wheel drive - 4x2, 2x4 or whatever? Serious question....................

AWD usually means that there's a split drive to all wheels so fronts get 80% rears get 20% etc etc, As opposed to proper 4x4's where drive is split equally to all wheels.

its as official as the halfrauds tills make it.

I think red is right there also.

Cos you get AWD, Full Time 4X4 and Four Wheel Drive.
Wherew AWD and Full Time 4X4 are what red said, and Four Wheel Drive is selectable like in the series.

Is that right Red? Front gets 80%? Dont feel like it - drives like a rear wheel drive but with a lot more grip. Never managed to lose it yet but have with RWD Beamer n used to all the time with my company car vectra. So know wot it feels like.U surprise me. If u said the other way around with the 80/20 split I would have sat back in my chair but.............
Tis a great car tho...............

yeah normal straight link driving that split sounds aobut right.

The scooby one automatically changes that distribution if it needs to, so in a corner it will adjust power distribution to make it stick like kids to blankets.

Thanks Red. Did u read thru that? Very informative but have to highlight one comment that made me smile - n this is copied straight out of the scooby blurb, "even when the pavement is bone dry" - pavement? help.
By the sounds of it probably safer in the scooby than u r walking..................

that's why I put Ect Ect, different cars will have different drive ratios and different bias's front to rear or rear to front Don't have time to do a list of every AWD car and the correct split for each one and as boydy ses most of them shift the power round the wheels depending on what the cars doing at the time...

As I said - thanx for the info. Does that mean that the car is driving me instead of tother way round - sounds like I dont know wots going on under the bonnet..................
More respect Scooby............
