Hello to all.

I try to search for similar threats but didn't find nothing similar.

I'm preparing my sell to a long trip through EU...so I made a Master service in my FR. Everything went ok.

Two days after he start to do a strange vibration when is idling the engine star to shake more then normal.

I took the FR to the garage again and we connect to the diagnostic machine and came with the error "Smooth Running Regulator", after we clear the error message it show up again.

So my question now is....What is the Smooth Running Regulator and where it is??? And what I need to do, to fix this problem? Can anyone show me some pics or real examples, It would be very helpful.

Thanks

wonder if that's a test for the injectors

as Its a bmw engine

maybe some of the other member may know what a smooth running regulator is and its faults

or it's fitted to a facelift model ??

seems the fault is something to do with the injectors

however as its just been serviced I wonder if they've disturbed something

ie

vaccuum hoses
maf connector which is near the air cleaner
injector wiring loom

maybe a check around the engine bay of the areas that they worked in and may have disturbed something

would have thought though that only 2 x days after they services it that you've been left with this fault

will do some further digging for u
