Hi all
Just had my cam belt changed, and when I drove it seemed a little flat.
When I started the engine after 2 days not using the landy, it was very flat and smokey on startup, the smoke clears but she seems a liitle less responsive.
Same thing again this morning.

The belt was changed by a specialist, have they done something that may cause this ?

regards all
Ray

Well, if it was alright before, sounds like they did not get the timing exactly right?
Take it back, and tell them what's happening.

Sounds retarded to me, especially if the smoke clears when it warms up.
What engine is it?

As above.

If nothing else it should feel at least the same as before you took it in, anything other than this means they have done something wrong. Possible it is something really simple like an intercooler hose not fitted correctly but I guess that the timing isn't correct.

Some specialist!

Take it straight back on Monday morning.

Anybody can make a mistake. Maybe the trainee did it. Whatever, give them a chance to put it right.

Called them this morning and they said it sounds like we haven't got the timing quiet right, bring it back and well do it while you wait.
Thanks for all your replies, spot on all of you :)

Nice to hear they are sorting it out asap, bet the boy gets a slap later when you have gone!
