Hey guys,

I'm wondering how much play is too much in the sliding joint of a prop shaft.
If none, or minimal, is this service-able, or should i be looking for a new prop shaft? Would greasing her up be a good fix??
Cheers

id say just replace it now bud. i work on NO play is acceptable. little bit of play always leads to more play and wears out something else on its way out.

My front one had a little play in it when I shook it looking for the cause of some underbody clunking so I changed it today ... although it shouldn't fail completely for quite a while it's far better to swap it while it's at home and not have to take off the broken one at the side of the road in the rain and limp home in diff lock!
