Should I buy a Disco

Hi,

I had my Defender stolen from the railway station I park at earlier this week and so if its not recovered am looking for another Land rover to replace it with.

While I love the Defender, I am seriously looking at a Disco II. I was wondering if any Disco owners here have owned or still own a Defender and drive a Disco as their normal commuter vehicle as well as offroading.

What experiences have you had with owning the Disco? Is it good to change from a Defender to a Disco? Sorry cannot afford both so need to choose one. Was also looking at the Disco from a security point of view.

Any help on deciding gladly recieved. Also if anyine has links on what to look for when buying a 2nd hand disco please let me know.

Owned both, but Disco II is the best 4x4xfar........ So Far Anyway......

Go for it, you won't regret the upgrade....

We havnt owned a defender but if you use you landy for commuting i would say get the discovery. It is much more comfy and is still a brilliant offroader once you put some mud tyres on it.

I took one out for a test drive my local land rover specialist and it was great. Chalk and cheese in comparison to the Defender. IMHO the Defender has the classic design and class, while the Disco has the comfort and a lot more besides. Got to say was toying with looking at other manufacturers but I am now hooked on Land Rover.

Nothing else comes close.
