panic, followed by excitment :) I think the bloke is genuine. He rattles stuff off without thinking 1st so I dont think he is hiding anything (fingers crossed). He said it was tax exempt so must be fine. The 3.5 has been declared to, it was on the V5.

psst do we have to wait till after saturday to tell him not to buy it now???

Looks good Griff.....you just need a tin hat now to drive round Bristol innit

joy, secured a tow vehicle from work and found a car transporter for £30 for the weekend. Give me a wave if you see a signwritten 05 110 with trailer on the M5/A30 :)

picked it up yesterday. took all day. most of it getting down there due to caravans and northerners :D Only doing 40mph for most of the M5. Anyway I got there and the brakes were siezed solid :( I thought he was going to sort them, but i dont think he knows what he is doing. So after 2 hours of hammering drums, I thought i would try loosening off the bleed nipple a touch. Sure enough, if free'd up each wheel in turn. Would the fluid expand from lack of use? Got in on the trailer where it started to overheat, Kenlowe fan wasnt kicking in, 30 min later, loose wire. sorted. happy :) Got home at 9pm and left it on the trailer.

first 2 pics are the traffic down there at 9.30am on the M5. note the string of whitness and them taking both inside and middle lanes! then the Long outfit and the LTWT on the trailer.

more to follow when I get it off and about.

Yer ok. Its a bit wider than the landy (obviously) so was difficult to keep in the white lines on the A roads in Cornwall! I was glad to get on the A30 and M5. Didnt use much fuel going down but coming back it ate it :0 although the TD5 did not seem to notice I was pulling it.

Terrorfied I hadnt strapped it in properly I was stopping every 30min to check :D but apart from that fine. Looks tidy from outside, underneath is a diff story! Chassis has been patched a lot but it is WELL covered in paint/waxoil/rubbery stuff, silver paint, everything that sticks. But im not used to seeing a series motor so I think its ok for now.
